Witchy Wednesday Movie Night (Double Feature) + Dance Party @ Fond Object

6PM FREE ALL AGES

"Fond Object, Banshee Tattoo, and Hocus Pocus Salon conspire to bring you a spellbinding night of fright and fun a la Fly-In Theater! Join us on Wednesday, October 29th as we conjure up eerie eats, shocking spirits, and chilling cinema. We are even having a rancid raffle where you could win devilishly delightful prizes! The gathering kicks off at 6pm with some bewitching brews and frightening fare, and at 7:30 the wickedly witchy double feature begins!

First up: Dario Argento's 1977 scintillating kaleidoscope of fright, Suspiria. The film stars Jessica Harper as an American ballet student who transfers to a prestigious dance academy in Germany, which she discovers is controlled by a coven of witches. Suspiria discards a straight narrative and substitutes a rich, moody piece with a stark color palette and brutal imagery; an artistic classic that is truly unforgettable.

Next on tap: The totally 80's musical comedy, Teen Witch. Upon turning 16, Louise Miller discovers that she possesses magical powers via a mysterious amulet that she lost in a past life. Wacky hijinx ensue! Scattered, smothered, and positively covered with 1980's fashion, the cast frequently breaks into hilariously misguided and impromptu rap songs and, abracadabra, here's your chance to sing along!

Then...Stag O Ween Dance Party in the Gypsy House. We'll be spinning all your favorite Halloween themed garage, soul and rock n roll jams, plus regular ol' garage, soul and rock n roll jams!!

Grab your broom, bring your best spellbooks and incantations, and meet us at Fond Object on Wednesday, October 29th and and be prepared for things to get all weird, wild, and Witchy! Witchy wardrobe welcomed and powerfully, eerily suggested!
