Four Significant Landscapes @ The Packing Plant

"The Packing Plant is very excited to exhibit Devin Balara, Justine Orrall, Mike Vallera, and Jasmine Baetz & Christian Vistan, in FOUR SIGNIFICANT LANDSCAPES. The exhibition opens Saturday, July 11th from 6-9pm during the Art Crawl in Wedgewood/Houston in Nashville, TN.

Four Significant Landscapes consists of a group of artists whose works reflect the intersection of the natural world and domestic interiors. These are the two spheres which humans reside in, move through, and define.

Uncanny forms
covert in their

Infinite flat-land,
a two-dimensional

Textural void, in the slight absence
of human touch.

Transient as tracing
through in-between spaces.

Jasmine Baetz is a ceramic artist from Dundas, Ontario. She holds a BA in religious studies from University of Toronto, and is pursuing a BFA at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her education in religious studies informs her exploration of ceramics through recreation of objects, reenactment of ceremonies, and retracing of routes. To see her work, please visit:

Christian Vistan (b. 1994) is a Filipino artist living and working in Vancouver. Originally from Bataan, a peninsular province in the Philippines, his work (writings, paintings and performances) addresses the space he occupies in between—a space surrounded by water, floating, disoriented and liminal. He is currently a student at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, pursuing a BFA and a minor in Curatorial Studies. To see his work, please visit:"
