This is a collection of photos from the short-lived, but much needed, Knox Pride Fest which happened on June 17th in Knoxville, Tenn.
Living in East Tennessee, there are not many places where one gets to outwardly exist as themselves and feel comfortable. Although Knoxville has a thriving LGBT community, many of the surrounding areas, which mostly rely on Southern ideals and Christianity, do not offer an outlet for those who don't fit into that mold. Knoxville Pride serves as a hub for those who need to escape their own reality, even if for a day, and experience that they are important and loved.
